HLT40213 -Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice (Release 5) RTO No.4386

This course is for people who want to provide a range of primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients, including specific health care programs, advice and assistance with medication.

These workers can be expected to flexibly assume a variety of job roles and undertake a broad range of tasks. This course is delivered in a block release format to allow access for students from across the Kimberley region to attend.

Certificate IV consists of 14 Core units and 7 Elective units and the requirement to complete 500 Clinical Hours

HLTAHW006 Facilitate and advocate for the rights and needs of clients and community members
HLTAHW021 Provide nutrition guidance for specific health care
HLTAHW020 Administer medications
HLTAHW037 Support safe use of medications
HLTAHW017 Assess and support client’s social and emotional wellbeing
HLTAHW022 Address social determinants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health
