Sector Strengthening & Compliance
The Sector Strengthening team supports strong and accountable service delivery through robust quality management, funding contract management and infection prevention and control.
We work closely with our teams to manage and continually improve operations across the region. In response to requests from local communities, Sector Strengthening supports projects that aim to transition remote primary health care services to Aboriginal community control and establish new Aboriginal community controlled health services.
KAMS and KRS maintains a quality management system in line with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards that guides management and integrates quality improvement into everyday business. Our Quality program supports monitoring, compliance and continual improvement processes across all business areas to meet and maintain a number of accreditations and licencing requirements.
Our funding contract management function is essential to support the effective administration, governance and management of funding contracts to meet our obligations and continue to provide high quality services to Kimberley communities. Key activities include sourcing funding, negotiation and execution of contracts and subcontracts, and facilitating the review and approval of contractual deliverables and milestones.
Our infection prevention and control program is integral to the provision of high quality healthcare services and aims to protect staff, patients and the wider community from harm from avoidable infections. A comprehensive, risk- and evidence-based framework underpins the prevention, monitoring, investigation, and management of infections across our services, which is essential particularly in remote and high-risk settings.
