HLT40213 -Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice (Release 5)

This course is for people who want to provide a range of primary health care services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients, including specific health care programs, advice and assistance with medication.
As well as a theoretical component, the course provides practical experience in working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander clients in the form of a clinical / vocational placement. Aboriginal Health Workers receive ongoing supervision and guidance in their position and work as part of a team in a health care setting providing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This course is delivered in a block release format to allow access for students from across the Kimberley region to attend. There is no guarantee of employment at the successful completion of this qualification.
Certificate IV consists of 14 Core units and 7 Elective units and the requirement to complete 500 Clinical Hours.
