AMHFA Training – Broome
Aboriginal Mental Health First-Aid is a 14 hours, two-day workshop. This workshop is designed to increases participant confidence in identifying mental health illnesses in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and providing initial mental health first aid whilst supporting them to access appropriate professional help.
Learning objectives:
- Build a better understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and emotional wellbeing;
- Identify the contributing factors to mental health issues and the symptoms;
- Build knowledge of how to assist Aboriginal people experiencing mental health issues.
