SEWB Workforce Regional Forum 2020

Participant Agenda

The KAMS Social and Emotional Wellbeing Team are excited to host the annual SEWB Workforce Regional Forum on 24-26 November at Nyamba Buru Yawuru in Broome.

The Forum brings together members of the Social and Emotional Wellbeing and Alcohol and Other Drugs workforce from across the Kimberley region and provides opportunity for networking and strengthening connections, building on participants’ skills and knowledge, and celebrating the many successes of challenging 2020.

Participants will be provided an opportunity to upskill on a range of topics, including Facilitating Group Psychoeducation Programs, the LIYAN Natural Helpers Program as well as Train the Trainer program, and healing activities. In addition, participants will hear from new trainers in the trauma-informed Equine Assisted Learning program, as well as a range of knowledge sharing sessions to highlight the regions achievements, such as the Empowered Young Leaders, and the feedback and recommendations from the Kimberley Empowerment Healing and Leadership Program (KEHLP) independent evaluation.

All members of the SEWB & AOD workforce are eligible to attend, with Indigenous NIAA-funded SEWB staff eligible for financial support from KAMS to cover travel and accommodation. For more information, please contact sewbadmin@kamsc.org.au
